Mr Salter had an established family firm in the 1940 selling pots and potions and hairdressing scissors.
The tradtion still carries on today in leafy highgate village where C R Salter products are now well known worldwide, especially there shaving creams in six fragrances: -
- Citrus with added lemon oil a rich delicate fragrances.
- Lime fresh and dry with citrus oil subtle and expensive.
- Wild rose geranium oil added to the rose intrnsifies the scent.
- Freshmint with added mentheol oil so fresh on the skin.
- Almond made with sweet almond oil.
- Indian sandlewood unusual incomparable a favourite fragrance for the shaving cream.
